Kristina von Hoffmann is a Venice, CA, native passionate about human-focused, practical strategies for addressing climate impacts, particularly within the City of Los Angeles and throughout California. Leveraging her experience in project management, team building, and outreach, she helps streamline information flows, pipeline, and personnel management so that Climate Resolve’s staff are empowered to enact winning climate solutions for LA and beyond. Kristina also utilizes her extensive event management experience to produce Climate Resolve’s annual gala and other ad hoc events.
Prior to Climate Resolve, Kristina served as the Associate Director for the Alliance for Climate Education (ACE)’s West Coast region, where she helped fulfill the organization’s mission to educate and inspire the next generation of climate leaders. While at ACE, Kristina managed the organization’s top-performing teams in Northern and Southern CA, while also leading a collaborative campaign between Mayor Garcetti’s Office of Sustainability, City Plants, TreePeople, and youth leaders to increase tree canopy and foster community education about carbon sequestration across Los Angeles. Kristina personally delivered ACE’s award-winning climate science assembly to 100,000+ students and organized hundreds of them to take action via in-person leadership conferences and on-campus mentoring. Kristina has also served on staff at Three Squares Inc., a global leader in green event production and consulting services, where she helped coordinate the first-ever Women in Green Forum and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator’s Global Showcase.
Kristina graduated Cum Laude from Scripps College with a dual BA in Environmental Policy and French Language. She is a devotee of hip hop and local farmers’ markets, and serves on the Board of the Venice Heritage Foundation with whom she is actively striving to bring the first-ever Venice Heritage Museum to life.
