On behalf of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Climate Resolve has met with local residents and presented on issues relating to climate change. We know that climate change is already here and communities are feeling the effects through the increase of extreme heat during the summers. Throughout the year we have promoted awareness of the dangers of extreme heat and also provided essential information and education on strategies to cool down homes, neighborhoods, and the city. Our staff has engaged with communities by presenting on extreme heat, heat-related illnesses, and strategies that can be used to cool down homes and increase resiliency. Additionally, we have connected local residents with resources that they can use to help conserve water and energy at home.
