Seth Jacobson leads Climate Resolve’s energy and water programs. His work includes managing energy efficiency and water conservation programs with the Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD), one of the nation’s largest school districts. Seth also leads Climate Resolve’s work with public company FivePoint to develop and implement a greenhouse gas mitigation program. The program is investing in energy efficiency projects in disadvantaged communities in Los Angeles County that will generate carbon credits to help FivePoint achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions at its Newhall Ranch community.
In addition to working for Climate Resolve, Seth is Co-founder/CEO of Post & BIM, an internet startup focused on green building and building information modeling (BIM). Previously Seth was a Senior Vice President at Palmer Capital, where he financed and developed more than 16 MW of renewable energy projects. Before that, he was the Executive Director of the Green Coast Foundation, a nonprofit organization that worked to promote renewable energy in California.
Seth is a LEED Accredited Professional (O+M) and holds a certificate in Corporate Environmental Management from UCSB’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. He earned both a Master of Public Policy and an MBA from UCLA, and an AB in Astronomy & Astrophysics from Harvard College. He is also a Senior Fellow at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
Seth is a native Angeleno with a passion for exploring California with his wife Anna and their son Ike.
