Bio:

Woodrow Covington is a committed social justice professional who works to ensure Climate Resolve is using all possible resources to maximize its impact. A California native, he comes to Climate Resolve from the international development sector. He firmly believes that every person has the capacity and responsibility to make the world better.

Prior to Climate Resolve, Woodrow worked to improve medical care for the most disadvantaged patients in developing countries through training of local medical teams, capacity building, and direct support for patient care. Before that, he managed programs focused on improving governance and human rights in east and Horn of Africa countries at the nonprofit Freedom House. He also worked on natural resource-based conflict issues in Africa at Search for Common Ground in Washington, DC and Sierra Leone, and has held positions at the United Nations and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

He is also an experienced whitewater river guide and avid outdoorsman, and proud human companion of a dog and cat. Woodrow holds an M.A. from Georgetown University and a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego.
