Thelma Briseño is a civil engineer with a public health and environmental biology background. For over two decades, she’s been a scientist and advocate working in the environmental health and community development space. Since moving to California in 2014, Thelma’s worked on green building and energy efficiency projects at schools and private developments, as well as developed net zero carbon projects within our most climate-vulnerable neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Through her position as Senior Director of Energy and Water Programs at Climate Resolve, Thelma continues to bridge the gap between the ‘man’-made world of engineering and community resilience.
